Raised the Palestinian Flag on Mount Lhotse, Who is Nelly Attar?
A message of support and love for the people of Palestine was sent by the Lebanese mountaineer Nelly Attar, from the summit of Mount Lhotse, the fourth-highest mountain in the world, to catch the eyes of the users of social media, especially she was celebrating her sporting achievement with the Palestinian flag with its four colors in her hands, and a triumphant smile on her face.
Nelly Attar, 34, holds a Master's degree in Psychology, and worked for 4 years as a psychotherapist, before turning into a mountaineering sport in 2007, when she climbed Mount Kenya, starting a new career full of achievements and love of adventure, which she describes through her Instagram page as part of her life.
In 2022, Nelly achieved the title of the first Arab woman to reach the summit of Mount Everest, which is considered the highest in the world, proving her ability to challenge and excel in this difficult field, which for many years has been linked to the power of men.
The strenuous physical exercise of mountaineering sport gained the Lebanese mountain climber more self-confidence, and helped her to reach the highest levels of concentration, which she expressed in her posts on Instagram, through which she shared with her followers a picture documenting the moment she climbed the summit of Mount Lhotse, waving the flag of Palestine, and writing a comment under the picture saying: "From mountains to the sea."
Mount Lhotse is the fourth-highest mountain in the world, with an altitude of about 8,516 meters. Its name means the southern peak in Tibet, and it is located on the border between China and Nepal.
